Xu Yueniang, a fishing village woman, rescues an injured white sea turtle abandoned by Zheng Dahai, its former owner. The white sea turtle knows the sea routes well, guides her to find seafood, and can even warn of storms at sea. Xu Yueniang leads her neighbors in making a living from the sea, adhering to the principle of taking the big and leaving the small when gathering seafood. Greedy Zheng Dahai forcibly seizes the white sea turtle and focuses solely on excessive fishing, ultimately bringing disaster upon himself through a violent tidal surge.
