Ten Yuan Fare, A Nightmare It Triggered
On a stormy night, Jiang He and her best friend Chen Qian take a taxi home. Chen Qian brazenly provokes their ride-hailing driver, while Jiang He unexpectedly discovers that the driver is a serial murder suspect wanted by the police. The shadow of death descends over the car. Jiang He repeatedly warns her friend and tries to stop her, but the spoiled Chen Qian pays no attention, continually pushing them both toward danger. Even after they escape to their apartment, the killer relentlessly pursues them, turning their cramped rental into a battlefield for survival. Jiang He fights with all her might and narrowly survives until the police arrive to rescue her. But instead of comfort after surviving the ordeal, she faces her best friend's blatant distortion of the truth. Chen Qian's parents storm Jiang He's workplace and spread false rumors online, forcing her to shoulder an enormous compensation claim.
