In the 1980s, mountain gatherer Xu Weidong faced life's difficulties, forging a new path with diligence and wisdom. He ventured deep into the mountains, harvesting mountain delicacies, changing his destiny with his own hands while steadfastly upholding integrity and conscience. After getting rich, he did not forget his fellow villagers, forming a mountain-gathering team to lead the whole village in common development, turning the mountain goods business into an industry that benefits the local area. He donated to education and helped those in peril and need, interpreting the simple belief of "relying on the mountain to nourish it, guarding the mountain to protect it" with his actions.
