After getting drunk, Tang Yuanshang, a freshman at a top Chinese university, unexpectedly travels back in time to a rural village in 1990, occupying the body of an eighteen-year-old coward who shares his name. His parents died early, and his older brother recently passed away in an accident, leaving behind a widowed sister-in-law and two young children. Liang San, the village secretary's son, abuses his power and repeatedly harasses his sister-in-law.
