In 1995, Lu Yuan, a technician at the town's soda factory, refuses to compromise food production standards by mixing soda with artificial flavoring and saccharin. As a result, he gets fired. Determined to start over from nothing, he sets out with his wife and children, rents an abandoned warehouse, and establishes his own beverage factory. Starting with fruit pulp freshly prepared by hand, he remains committed to uncompromising quality. Facing vicious competition, blocked supplies, and market boycotts orchestrated by rivals, Lu Yuan overcomes every obstacle through honest business practices. Eventually, he builds a widely recognized local soda brand and even inspires his former rivals to turn away from their misguided ways. Together, they write an inspiring entrepreneurial story set in the 1990s.
