In 1998, Lin Wantang encountered a theft at the market. Zhou Muye, a poor young man, stepped forward to help her recover her wallet and sustained injuries, causing her to develop a favorable impression of him. To escape the utilitarian marriage arranged by her stepmother, she took the initiative to propose to Zhou Muye, and the two had a flash marriage. Starting from scratch by setting up a stall to sell grain, oil, and provisions, the couple withstood peer suppression and malicious reports, founding Wantang Supermarket through integrity. Lin Wantang took care of Zhou's family elders and resolved family estrangements. With her stepmother frequently extorting them and a wealthy second-generation heir who admired Lin Wantang intentionally making things difficult, storms arose continuously. The two joined hands to resolve all crises, guarded their small home, and welcomed a better life together.
