To surprise her boyfriend on their third anniversary, Lin Wan visits a popular hair salon she has heard so much about to get a French-style effortless perm. Persuaded by the stylist's relentless sales pitches, she upgrades to a more expensive perm-and-dye package and tops up a membership card with 10,000 yuan. However, the salon's cheap, low-quality chemicals leave the ends of her hair badly burned, making her look much older and leaving her hairstyle looking cheap. The salon refuses to take responsibility and even accuses her of deliberately making a false complaint to extort them. With her boyfriend's help, Lin Wan reports the salon to the police and gathers evidence. She joins forces with several other victims to file a joint complaint, eventually forcing the unscrupulous salon to suspend operations for rectification and successfully winning justice.
