Chen Yuanshan sells four houses in the city and returns to Niwan Village with millions of yuan worth of equipment and shrimp fry to repay a debt of gratitude. Instead, the villagers lock his truck wheels, cut off the power supply, and force him to buy their shrimp at the sky-high price of 200 yuan per jin. He chops through the iron chain with an axe and turns to neighboring impoverished Wanghai Village. The people of Wanghai Village risk their lives to save him and help him rescue a million shrimp fry. Chen Yuanshan leads Wanghai Village in building a national-level prawn farming base, with its products entering Michelin-starred restaurants, and the entire village rises from poverty to prosperity. Meanwhile, Niwan Village, driven by greed, brings in a corporate spy who shuts down the aeration equipment, causing the shrimp to die. Poisoning and high-interest loan collectors push the entire village into collapse. When those who once received his kindness kneel and beg him to take them in, Chen Yuanshan replies with just one sentence: 'An axe has severed the debt of gratitude. When people's hearts turn rotten, even the gods cannot save them.'
