In 2010, Xu Liunian invests all his savings of 500,000 yuan into opening an internet café. Just as he starts turning a profit, his landlord and her son maliciously force him out, offering only 10,000 yuan in breach-of-contract compensation. With nowhere else to turn, he asks Wang Manyun, his high school class beauty, for help. With guidance from his former class monitor, he cleverly sets a trap that makes the malicious landlord suffer the consequences of her own actions. Xu Liunian walks away unscathed and returns to his hometown, rekindling his youthful romance with Wang Manyun. When he eventually comes back, he discovers that the new landlord who bought the shop is none other than Wang Manyun, who has been quietly helping him all along. From former classmates to landlord and tenant, the two ultimately fall in love and begin a sweet life together.
