Lu Ming is a veterinarian at Four-Legged Clinic, a small practice in an urban village. His prospective match is Shen Zhiwei, general manager of the Chongyi Group. Lu Ming initially intends to ruin the match, but at the dinner table, Shen Zhiwei's mother, Ms. Ming, tries to drive him away with a 300,000-yuan check. Refusing to play along with her expectations, he instead tells her that the money should be spent treating the Shen family's elderly cat, Taihou.
