I Shoveled Snow for Free for Three Years, Yet Got a Fine
I spent three years clearing snow for free throughout the entire residential complex, but my neighbor Wang Guifen demanded that I travel ten kilometers to clear the private courtyard of one of her relatives. When I refused, she reported me for driving without a license and damaging the road surface. I was fined by traffic police and urban management officials, so I decided never to clear the snow again. Then came a once-in-fifty-years blizzard, bringing all the roads in the complex to a standstill. Wang Guifen's son, Pang Baojun, had his wedding procession trapped in half a meter of snow and missed the auspicious wedding hour. The bride immediately called off the marriage. Meanwhile, I registered a legitimate snow-removal company and began taking contracts from municipal authorities and upscale residential complexes. Driven mad with jealousy, Wang Guifen poured sand into my fuel tank in the middle of the night. After she was caught, she had to pay hundreds of thousands in compensation and was punished for sabotaging business operations.
