A New Score in the Courtyard
After years away, Yang Yiming returns to the small farmhouse courtyard he has not seen in a long time. He witnesses how his parents have spent their entire lives prioritizing neighborhood relationships and repeatedly giving way, leaving the boundary dispute unresolved. When another conflict erupts as the neighbors prepare for a wedding, he remains calm and composed, using original documents to establish the rightful property boundaries. Once the dispute is settled, he plants vegetables and raises poultry in the courtyard, tending to an ordinary livelihood. By protecting the peace of the family home, he also rediscovers the tranquility and warmth that belong to his family.
