Liu Yong, an elite special forces soldier, is reborn in 1980 in a poor mountain village. The moment he opens his eyes, he finds himself facing a desperate situation: his younger sister is being forced into marriage by a ruthless relative, and his mother is seriously ill. Relying on the combat skills he acquired in his previous life, he ventures into the mountains to hunt, easing his family's financial crisis. He then braves the perilous Valley of the Medicine God to obtain a thousand-year-old ginseng root and save his mother, earning himself the title of Hunting God. Facing repeated harassment and schemes from his uncle's family and village thugs, Liu Yong remains calm and deals with these criminals according to the law. Seizing the opportunities of the times, he leases barren mountains to grow medicinal herbs, helps the villagers become prosperous, and falls in love with Lu Wan'er, a female doctor who stands by him through hardship. Together, they build a home and a successful life, making up for every regret from his previous life.
