Reborn in the 1990s, eighteen-year-old Lin Feng faces his father's death. Taking advantage of the tragedy, his uncle Lin Dagui and aunt Wang Chunhua seize the family property and drive him, his mother with failing eyesight, and his little sister Lin Nannan out into a thatched hut. Fortunately, his little sister possesses extraordinary eyes that allow her to see golden stars in the sea. Relying on her gift and his memories of a previous life, Lin Feng makes a living gathering seafood with an old, ironwood boat, protects his family, and gradually builds a successful business in the fishing village.
