Greed Ends In Nothing
Three months ago, the village chief led the entire village to block the orchard, forcing Zhou Mingchen to sign a land transfer contract. He signed it, but insisted on getting it notarized. Three months later, the resort project fell through, the relocation compensation went down the drain, and the village chief stood at the fruit store entrance holding two bottles of cheap white wine, saying, "Uncle is representing the whole village today to beg you." Zhou Mingchen wiped his hands, turned around, and said, "You guys forced me to sign it back then, and now you want to back out?" He didn't take revenge, nor did he soft-heart. Neither the land nor the money could be returned, but life still had to be lived by themselves. The couple worked from dawn to dusk, building a fruit store in the city into a home. Greed is a bottomless pit that can never be filled.
