A Banquet That Costs 10,000 Yuan per Table, and You Give 200 as a Wedding Gift
Chen Ping attends his nephew Zhang Yang's wedding banquet and follows the customs of his hometown by giving 200 yuan as a wedding gift, only to be ridiculed by Zhang Yang for being stingy. During their confrontation, Zhang Yang smashes a bottle of Moutai and falsely accuses Chen Ping of breaking it, demanding 100,000 yuan in compensation. When Chen Ping refuses, he is publicly humiliated and suffers an asthma attack. Zhang Yang, however, refuses to take him to the hospital and even tries to drag him into the kitchen. At this critical moment, Chen Ping's son, Chen Jie, arrives just in time and vows to seek justice for his father. Undeterred by pressure from powerful forces behind Zhang Yang, Chen Jie gathers evidence exposing how Zhang Yang and his mother, Chen Mei, have been cutting corners on rural construction projects, amassing wealth while exploiting villagers. With the help of the media, he sparks public outrage and pushes for a thorough investigation into the projects. Their wrongdoing is exposed, and Chen Jie successfully restores his father's dignity.
