To secure his career and prospects of marriage, Dahai ruthlessly abandons his pregnant girlfriend, Ma Lianhua, when she comes looking for him. To protect the innocent infant, clear-headed sister Lamei steps forward, shouldering the blame and claiming the illegitimate child as her own despite cruel gossip. As the family teeters on the brink of collapse, Shen Haixia's shocking thirty-year-old secret is finally revealed: the son she doted on unconditionally is actually the orphaned child of a deceased friend! The truth shatters Dahai's cowardice, moving him to genuine remorse. In the end, the family offers tearful apologies to the woman who endured so much injustice, welcoming a long-overdue reunion.
