Dr. Zhang Zehan, dedicated to developing targeted anti-cancer drugs, moves into Room 301 of Songze Garden and purchases high-risk experimental samples that require strict containment. His opposite neighbors, Wang Mang and Sun Li, act aggressively, repeatedly stealing deliveries and deliberately harassing neighbors. Wang Mang fraudulently takes an experimental delivery package and ignores all warnings, handling it recklessly. When Zhang Zehan finds out and reports it to the police, the couple frames him to create misunderstandings. Later, mishandling of the toxic sample leads to an accident, sending the parties involved to the hospital. Following a police investigation, Wang Mang faces criminal liability. Cleared of suspicion, Zhang Zehan focuses on his scientific research and completes clinical trials of the targeted therapy two years later.
