Song Changgeng emptied his savings to help his son open a restaurant and worked tirelessly for five years without taking a penny. Yet simply because he drank a bottle of water while dehydrated from overwork, his daughter-in-law slapped him with a massive fine, and his son rigidly defended the unreasonable rule, thoroughly breaking his father's heart. After taking back the kitchen equipment he personally purchased, Song Changgeng joined Pinxiang Pavilion and revitalized his career with his superb culinary skills. Failing to run the restaurant properly, his ungrateful son and former daughter-in-law, instead of reflecting on their faults, resort to moral blackmail, online rumors, and harassment to force him into bailing them out. Arming himself with evidence, Song Changgeng takes legal action to protect his rights.
