A Bowl Awakens the Passing Years
A story about Chen Chuan, the food service supervisor at an industrial park, and Wu Guifen, the owner of a wonton shop. After running Wu's Wonton Shop for years, Wu Guifen gradually loses her patience as her business becomes stable. An argument over charging extra for chili prompts Chen Chuan to introduce Li's Wonton Shop as another breakfast partner, giving employees more choices. Faced with losing customers, Wu Guifen refuses to reflect on her behavior and instead repeatedly complains, cuts prices, and reduces portions. Eventually, her deteriorating reputation costs her the partnership, and her long-running shop is forced to close. Only then does she realize that the seeds of her shop's downfall were planted long ago. What truly keeps customers coming back is never a monopoly, but respect and sincerity.
