A Box of Write-off Rice Made Me See Through My Son's Family
Zhao Guimei has volunteered for four years in her son and daughter-in-law's fresh food supermarket deli section, buying equipment, advancing payment for goods, and simmering braised dishes, propping up the most profitable stall. Yet, because she took a box of rice meant to be written off that night, she was publicly fined three thousand by her daughter-in-law, and her son also said, "There is no biological mother in front of rules." With a chilled heart, she left the shop, tallied up equipment and four years of advanced payments, and faced her daughter-in-law posting videos to smear her. Using invoices, transaction records, and chat logs, she counterattacked item by item. Ultimately, mediation confirmed 216,000 yuan to be repaid in installments, and she let go of the obsession with infinite giving, beginning to live for herself.
