A Little Mushroom Spirit Came to My Home
In the mountain villages of Sichuan and Chongqing in the 1960s and 1970s, impoverished mushroom picker Zhou Youtian accidentally encountered a little girl of unknown origin, Duoduo, deep in the mountains. This milky-voiced, whimsical child could always find mushroom nests that others couldn't see. Relying on Duoduo to lead the way, the Zhou family stepped out of the poor days of not being able to afford meat, step by step opening up sales channels in the town, county, and city, and thus provoked the mountain goods merchant Ma Dafu to make trouble time and time again. Yet no one expected that what truly changed the destiny of the Zhou family was not just those mushrooms, but also this little girl who walked out of the mountains.
