While conducting a conductivity experiment on an unknown crystal in his laboratory, chemist Chen Mo accidentally time-traveled to the ancient Qingniu Village, which was being ravaged by a plague. Facing the desperate situation where villagers fell ill one after another and panic spread, he used his professional knowledge to identify the cause of the disease and formulate medicine, pulling the entire village back from the brink of death. Afterwards, Chen Mo stayed in the village, leading the villagers to improve farming tools, reclaim wasteland and farm, build walls and construct cities, making Qingniu Village increasingly prosperous. When bandits and the Northern Di barbarians successively invaded, he used chemical knowledge to manufacture gunpowder and defensive fortifications, leading the villagers to rise up and resist, repeatedly repelling the invading enemies, and ultimately taking root in this unfamiliar land.
