The Phoenix Crown Does Not Pay the Unfeeling Groom
Su Qingyuan, the legitimate daughter of the Duke of Zhenguo, was originally betrothed to Xiao Jingzheng, the Heir of Changning Marquis. On the eve of their grand wedding, the other party actually humiliated her with a pink concubine wedding robe, purely to favor Wen Shumei, a concubine-born daughter pretending to be a chaste woman. Unwilling to endure such humiliation, Su Qingyuan entered the palace overnight to beg for an imperial decree, changing her marriage to Xiao Jingzheng, the general who had just returned in triumph. The two joined hands to expose Wen Shumei for impersonating the legitimate sister, Xiao Jingzheng's plot to seize the heir position, and his collusion with bandits in treason and other layer upon layer of conspiracies, with all the villains bringing to justice. As the storm settled, Su Qingyuan took charge of the Marquis's Mansion, stayed together with Xiao Jingzheng, gave birth to offspring, and harvested a stable and complete remaining life.
