The Black Cross in the Family Tree
Fifteen years after leaving home, Zhao Jiaming returns to Zhao Village in glory with his wife, Wang Li, hoping to honor his parents and reclaim his place in the family. But his parents favor his younger siblings, who have become snobbish and materialistic. They publicly trample the century-old wild ginseng he carefully prepared into the mud and even plan to expel him from the family genealogy to curry favor with Liu Defa, the chamber of commerce's vice president. Only when a senior assistant from Yuanding Group and his son, Zhao Yu, appear one after another does everyone realize that this so-called penniless nobody, despised by his entire family, is actually the power behind one of the country's leading conglomerates. When the truth comes to light, Zhao Jiaqiang, Zhao Jiayan, and the others expose their disgraceful true colors and ultimately suffer the consequences of their own actions. Zhao Jiaming, meanwhile, lets go of the past and sets off with his wife and son toward a new life that truly belongs to them.
