The Goddess of Child Delivery Again and Again Slipped Her Tongue
Shen Nian has possessed a special ability since childhood: looking at pregnant women makes golden text appear, foreshadowing the count and gender of the fetuses. This ability made her famous far and near, but also brought about quite a bit of trouble. To keep her mouth, which loved leaking secrets, under control, her parents married her off to the rigorous and restrained Gu Mingyuan. After marriage, Shen Nian tried hard to restrain herself, yet always ended up letting things slip. Later, the two accompanied the court to a grand imperial banquet in the palace, where multiple imperial concubines were pregnant, and the full view of destiny prompts danced before Shen Nian's eyes. Desperately biting her teeth tight to guard the secret, she endured all sorts of torment in front of the emperor and imperial consorts, terrified on one hand that bringing disaster from the mouth would summon execution, while on the other hand unable to suppress the truth brought by her ability, staging a ludicrous and ironic court ghost-fright moment.
