A Divine Farmer in a Mountain Courtyard: Part One

30 episodesFullCompleted

Deep in the southwestern mountains of the Great Song dynasty lies Linjia Village, where Lin Suisui, a young farm girl, possesses an extraordinary natural sensitivity to plants and trees. When the village faces a famine crisis caused by saline-alkali soil and a landlord attempting to forcibly buy up the villagers' grain fields, she relies on half of a family-inherited manuscript, The Divine Farmer's Lost Herbal Strategies, to guide her parents in adapting their farming methods to local conditions and cultivating crops scientifically. Working in perfect harmony, the family uses an ancient composting technique to transform barren, salt-covered land into rich, fertile black soil. Later, when a sudden severe drought strikes, they cleverly combine irrigation engineering with Lu Ban's traditional craftsmanship to build a towering, three-zhang-high waterwheel that lifts water to irrigate fertile fields, thwarting a tyrant's scheme to monopolize the water supply.
