Lu Chen, the richest man in the capital, disguises himself as an ordinary employee to return home for the New Year, only to face relentless demands for money from his orphaned cousin Wang Ziyi under the guise of fake investment schemes and bride price demands, all while his father Lu Guoli openly plays favorites. Wang Ziyi's girlfriend Zhao Qingqing even abuses her position as assistant to the CEO to intimidate Lu Chen into paying up, oblivious to the fact that Lu Chen is her direct superior. After Lu Chen endures and concedes, Zhao Qingqing escalates her harassment by framing him for embezzlement, finally triggering Lu Chen's counterattack. He publicly exposes his true identity, fires Zhao Qingqing, and demands repayment of Wang Ziyi's debts, yet his father still stubbornly sides with the cousin. Later, when Wang Ziyi attempts to swindle Lu Guoli out of his property, Lu Chen joins forces with President Bai Qin of the Bai Corporation to thwart the scheme and call the police to bring him to justice. Lu Guoli finally comes to his senses, and father and son reconcile.
