Lin Shen accurately predicts an unprecedented drought and invests his entire fortune in building underground water storage reservoirs and smart greenhouses in his village. As a result, his fiancée breaks off their engagement, and the entire village mocks and questions him. When the drought arrives exactly as predicted and outdoor crops suffer widespread crop failure, Lin Shen uses scientific farming techniques to maintain stable production and ensure food supplies. He subsequently expands his operations into a modern agricultural industrial park, creating jobs and increasing incomes for the villagers as they unite to overcome the natural disaster. Using technology to revitalize rural communities, he also finds love and builds a successful future alongside Su Yan, a woman who shares his vision.
