A Hairy Car, Washing Out Half a Lifetime of Dignity
Chen Guodong, a 40-year-old car wash master, was kicked out of the car wash shop where he had worked for twenty years after refusing his boss Li Jinhai's instruction to cut corners. He used his savings to open a dilapidated little shop. The very first order upon opening was a "wrecked car" covered in mold and shunned by everyone in the city. Facing Li Jinhai's mockery and suppression, he live-streamed his car washing using a few old brushes and years of craftsmanship, shockingly washing a three-million-yuan Bentley and becoming an overnight legend on the internet. After rising to fame, Li Jinhai teamed up with chain brands to set traps, smear him, and fake order grabs. Chen Guodong consistently broke through the predicament with genuine craftsmanship and a clear conscience, ultimately securing a 300-million-yuan classic car restoration project and allowing "Guodong Car Wash" to truly hang its own sign.
