Five years into his marriage, Lu Jingyan, CEO of Lu Group, accidentally caught his wife Bai Lian having an affair with her assistant Hao Jian, only to discover Hao Jian was HIV-positive. Swallowing his heartbreak, he joined forces with Hao Jian's clear-headed, independent wife Su Wanqing to gather evidence. At an auction, Bai Lian blindly defended her lover and smashed a rare anti-HIV drug in public; Lu Jingyan exposed Hao Jian's diagnosis on the spot. Later at a new product launch, on-site tests confirmed that Bai Lian had also been infected, and proof of the two selling company design trade secrets was revealed simultaneously. Disgraced and ruined, Hao Jian and Bai Lian were imprisoned for corporate espionage, their futures shattered by severe illness. Lu Jingyan divorced cleanly to cut ties with the past, partnering with Su Wanqing to establish an AIDS support foundation.
