The Marshal's Beast-Speaking Young Lady
In the Republic-era Shenjiang Beach, Lu Supervisor, who guards a region, brings back a three-year-old orphan, Nuo Nuo. This soft and cute milk baby is naturally able to understand animal language: a parrot reminds her that a gift box is fake, koi fish leap in the water to report that the tea has been tampered with, a wounded tiger comes seeking help, and a small yellow dog leads the way to catch the arsonist. One plot after another is seen through and stopped by her milky childish words. Everyone in the Lu Mansion goes from being skeptical to holding her in the palms of their hands; the stern supervisor learns to cook noodles for her, the mistress of the house treats her as her own, and even the most rule-bound old madam makes an exception for her. Nuo Nuo also uses her soft childish heart to turn the stern general's mansion into a benevolent home that shelters the weak and warms the whole city.
