A Modern Warehouse, Feeds An Ancient Myriad Army
Qian Yuan, who runs a grain and goods business, unearthed half of an ancient plaque inscribed with "Warehouse Three Redeeming Grain" deep inside his old warehouse, unexpectedly opening up a secret grain route leading to the frontier's Northern Pass garrison. At this time, eight thousand defending troops at the Northern Pass were trapped in an isolated city, with the grain route cut off for a long time, the soldiers suffering from hunger and cold, the camp's grain administration plagued by entrenched abuses and numerous fraudulent accounts, and foreign enemies pressing hard with heavy troops, closely eyeing the remaining grain. Using his own warehouse as a foundation, he procured rice, flour, and provisions to transport them to the army via the secret route, first gathering ten days' worth of rations to relieve the urgent crisis, then reorganizing the grain accounts, cleverly setting up a grain-protection scheme, redeeming captured civilians with grain, and maneuvering between various factions and mysterious merchant groups in the streets, stabilizing the morale of both the military and the people with bowl after bowl of hot rice.
