A Cold Wave Buys Sheep and Reveals Human Hearts
After a red alert for an extreme cold wave is issued, He Chuan returns to his hometown of Fengcaotan with twenty vehicles and cash to buy sheep, guaranteeing a minimum price of eight yuan per jin and taking on all the risks of price fluctuations. Yet the villagers insist he is underpaying them and burn the contract in public, with the entire village waiting for sheep prices to rise to twelve yuan per jin. He Chuan turns to neighboring Huangshaliang Village, where the village chief leads the way in signing the contract and the entire village loads its sheep overnight. When the cold wave arrives early, He Chuan would rather pay the transportation costs out of his own pocket than fail to transport all the sheep before the slaughterhouse shuts down. Fengcaotan misses its chance and suffers devastating losses. Over the next three years, the villagers of Fengcaotan finally learn to follow the rules and earn the opportunity to sign a new contract. One cold wave reveals the true nature of people's hearts.

Fengcaotan perde a oportunidade e sofre enormes prejuízos.
