A Pair Of Glasses, Let Me See This Family Clearly
Sixty-year-old Chen Guoan dedicates his 280,000 savings and monthly pension to help his son's family, taking care of housework and picking up his grandchildren, yet he is too frugal to buy a 300-yuan pair of reading glasses for himself. His daughter-in-law lavishly spends 6,800 yuan on a gold bracelet for her own mother and even attempts to take over all his retirement wages. Heartbroken, Chen Guoan resolutely moves out of his son's house to guard his bottom line for retirement. In community activities, he meets the clear-headed and independent He Xiuqin. While watching his son's family shoulder debts due to blind entrepreneurship, he rebuilds his own life, ultimately seeing through the boundaries of family affection and starting a brand-new old age of mutual respect and support.
