A Pot of Warm Soup, A Sweet Turn for Half a Lifetime (87 episodes)

Just three days after the father-in-law was laid to rest, the Zhou siblings rushed to divide the family estate, carving up properties, savings, and storefronts. Yet they completely disregarded the widowed daughter-in-law Shen Xiumei and her son, who had faithfully cared for the paralyzed patriarch for ten whole years, leaving them with nothing but a battered wooden chest. While everyone mocked the chest as worthless junk, it was actually the secret arrangement left behind by the father-in-law for Shen Xiumei. Refusing to let it go, the greedy Zhou family repeatedly came to cause trouble to seize the chest. Shen Xiumei endured silently until their greed was completely laid bare before opening the chest in public. Inside lay ancestral broth recipes, an old brand seal, and a letter declaring that the craft is passed down by heart, not by surname. Relying on this ancestral craft, Shen Xiumei opened her own shop and turned her life around, leaving the covetous Zhou family in deep regret.
