On the overgrown grass, He Ruofu in her wedding dress embraces and dances with the frail Zhou Yizhu. A "wedding" delayed by ten years hides the intertwined love and sorrow of the two from their high school summers to their adult reunion. After the college entrance examination, he suddenly vanished; when they met again, she had a "fiancé" beside her, while unspoken secrets lingered in his eyes. From tentative confessions and family-enforced separation to their reunion at a homestay and resolving past misunderstandings, just as they finally untangled the knots in their hearts, a diagnosis of leukemia shattered their newfound happiness. Ultimately, they keep their ten-year promise with a lawn wedding, using love to face the cruelty of fate and brewing fleeting time into an everlasting prose poem.
