Farmer Li Dagen digs up a million-dollar antique while repairing his dilapidated house, which was meant to pay for his disabled daughter's surgery. Under the guise of escorting them to the city for medical treatment, his greedy relatives sneak off to book a luxury resort, squandering nearly 490,000 yuan and demanding he foot the bill. Li Dagen collects evidence and refuses to pay. Forced to pay out of their own pockets, the relatives resentfully spread rumors and attempt extortion. Armed with complete evidence, he proves his innocence, and the relatives are investigated and punished.
