To help sugarcane farmers protect their farmland, Shen Yan swallowed an 800,000-yuan loss to purchase fruit sugarcane. This spring, sugarcane farmer Zhao Demao and others complained about the low purchase price and demanded an increase from 0.35 to 1.2 yuan per unit, threatening to tear up the contract otherwise. Shen Yan decisively canceled the contract and turned to sign a deal with a base in Yunnan instead. Left dumbfounded, the farmers faced the consequences, while Qian Shouxin was rewarded for his honesty. Zhao Demao continued his malicious sabotage, only for his sugarcane to rot in the fields, ultimately reaping what he sowed.
