Dry Land Doesn't Lend Water
Lin Wan, a young woman who studied agricultural water conservancy and returned to her hometown, seeks justice for her family, whose farmland has suffered complete crop failure due to the Zhao family's thirty-year-long upstream water blockade. She transforms an abandoned irrigation channel leased by her family into a drought-resistant reservoir. Using village-wide voting, proper administrative approvals, and legal measures, she systematically fights back, forcing the Zhao family to tear down their dam, restore the water supply, relocate their graves, establish clear boundaries, and sign a written agreement. The Zhao brothers, consumed by resentment, launch a nighttime attack, but surveillance footage provides evidence that brings them to justice. In the end, the reservoir is completed and put into operation, and the Lin family moves into a new home. Thirty years of humiliation are finally avenged, and the family reclaims both their water rights and their chance at a better life.

Ela transforma um antigo canal secundário de irrigação, abandonado e arrendado pela sua família, num reservatório para combater a seca. Através de uma votação de toda a aldeia, das devidas aprovações administrativas e de meios legais, contra-ataca passo a passo até obrigar a família Zhao a demolir a barragem, devolver a água, transferir os túmulos, estabelecer os limites e assinar um acordo por escrito. Os irmãos Zhao, movidos pelo ressentimento, lançam um ataque noturno, mas as imagens das câmaras de vigilância servem de prova para os levar à justiça. Por fim, o reservatório fica concluído e entra em funcionamento, e a família Lin muda-se para uma casa nova. Após trinta anos de humilhação e sofrimento, a justiça é finalmente feita: a família Lin recupera tanto os seus direitos sobre a água como a vida que merece.
