A Two-Cent Business, Reflecting the Human Heart
During the sweet potato harvest season, intermediary Xu Nanzhi is kicked out by buyer Gao Zhiyuan. Gao Zhiyuan offers a purchase price of 2.02 yuan per pound, but only buys standard-compliant commercial potatoes, leaving other sweet potatoes temporarily without a sales channel. To help fellow villagers reduce their losses, Xu Nanzhi contacts new buyers, looks for sales channels for the remaining goods, and coordinates collection, quantities, and orders together with Zhao Xiaoyong. As the business progresses, procurement standards, supply quantities, and contractual responsibilities successively trigger conflicts. Faced with Gao Zhiyuan's multiple changes, Xu Nanzhi insists on doing things by the rules, makes the accounts and responsibilities clear, and ultimately leads the villagers to solve the sweet potato sales problem, carving out a new path relying on her own abilities.
