Penniless Chen Feng and his girlfriend Xiuxiu raise a miraculous hen that lays double-yolked emerald eggs. His cousin Zhao Dayong plots against them in every way, secretly mixing sand and dirt into the feed at night, nearly killing the golden hen. He even files an official report alleging farm violations, forcing Chen Feng to shut down for three days. But Chen Feng doesn't fall. Armed with certified test reports, he turns the tables and forces his cousin to apologize to the entire village over the loudspeaker. A former brick kiln becomes a thriving poultry farm, twenty chicks grow into five hundred, and their golden-feather eggs become the star dish in high-end city hotels. Chen Feng proves with sheer strength that a true phoenix never fears the envy of wild pheasants.
