Accidentally Shipping a Thousand Jin of Garlic, I Revitalized the Whole Village Through Livestreaming
Chen Youtian, an unemployed young man, is tricked into returning to his hometown by his father, who claims to be ill. Faced with the problem of his family's garlic going unsold, he starts livestreaming on an old mobile phone to sell it. His mother misunderstands the weight and accidentally ships far more garlic than ordered. When the buyer receives 800 jin of garlic, the unexpected delivery goes viral, and orders skyrocket. Riding the wave of the 'mystery box' shipping trend, he sells all the garlic in his village. He then comes up with a garlic scape-picking experience to help a neighboring village clear its surplus, and uses a watermelon mystery-box scheme to sell their unsold watermelons. Along the way, he cleverly handles various troubles, including a blogger trying to pick a fight for attention and watermelons damaged during delivery, earning both a good reputation and a healthy income. Eventually, he uncovers the little scheme behind his father's deliberate decision to pack extra garlic in the original shipment. Chen Youtian chooses to stay in the countryside and devote himself to helping local farmers. A heartwarming ending with a positive message.
