Retired teacher Su Jingxian was injured in a fall, lost her memory, and was hospitalized for 99 days. Her biological daughter, Jiang Man, visited her only once, caring only about claiming her real estate. Meanwhile, her daughter-in-law, Xu Xiaoman, took leave from work to care for her the entire time, paying out of pocket and selling her own jewelry to look after her. Once she recovered and regained her memory, Su Jingxian settled accounts for all the money taken by her daughter. Jiang Man and her husband faced legal consequences, with those involved sentenced to three and a half years in prison for forging authorizations and other illegal acts. Su Jingxian remade her will, leaving the house to the daughter-in-law who devotedly looked after her, always remembering who truly cared for her.
