Eight years ago, a "virus" codenamed Demonic Gu broke out worldwide. Humanity had no idea where it came from, knowing only that new infected individuals appeared periodically. Parts of the infected people's bodies mutated, granting them extraordinary abilities; hiding among humans, they fed on their own kind's flesh and blood, and authorities designated them as Demonic Seeds. Jun Ye, whose mother died in difficult childbirth and who went blind in childhood, regained his sight in his final year of high school and turned into a Demonic Seed. Just as his father remarried, he unexpectedly gained a stepmother and an unrelated younger sister. He joined the villain organization—the Seven Deadly Sins, codenamed Pride.
