Chen Yuan worked tirelessly for three years in his cousin Chen Qiang's strawberry greenhouses, only to receive a humiliating 20,000 yuan out of 2 million in profits. Enraged, he contracted the saline-alkali land that everyone in the village avoided, making a six-month bet and staking his dignity and future on it. Armed with solid agricultural skills and unyielding grit, he reclaimed the soil, developed microbial inoculants, overcame rumors and sabotage, and ultimately cultivated premium white strawberries. He founded a cooperative, led the whole village out of poverty, and rose to become a model worker, while Chen Qiang's illegal greenhouses were shut down. This is a story of dignity rising from the dirt and hope blossoming in saline-alkali earth.
