Shen Chuan, a lonely seaside youth, lives a hard life fishing. During an outing at sea, he unexpectedly saves Ao Lingxi, the Ninth Princess of the dragon tribe who was injured and stranded. Accompanied by the ocean breeze, the youth and the dragon maiden form a pure and profound bond day and night. However, when the secret that dragon blood solidifies into blood crystals and dragon tears turn into pearls is exposed, former neighbors tear off their friendly masks, and the entire village swarms to seize the dragon treasures. To save Ao Lingxi's life, Shen Chuan endures the heartbreak and sends her back to the East Sea Dragon Palace. Unable to sever her longing, Ao Lingxi willingly takes a Shape-Shifting Pill and transforms into a mortal girl, Lin Xi, to return to the shore.
