While Su Wanrou is pregnant with twins—a boy and a girl—her husband, Gu Chengze, sets a payment rate for housework so she can earn the money for her prenatal checkups, all while treating his assistant generously. Disheartened, Su Wanrou chooses divorce, and their agreement stipulates that Gu Chengze gives up custody of the children. Afterward, she devotes herself to the design industry, wins a gold award for her work and steadily advances her career. Gu Chengze later loses the ability to have children and, filled with regret, hopes to visit the twins. Su Wanrou handles the situation rationally and, on the strength of her own abilities, lives a full, confident life with her son and daughter.
