After the Elevator Started Charging Separately, the Entire Building Panicked
To ensure his mother, who has difficulty walking, would no longer be trapped on the sixth floor, a devoted son paid out of his own pocket to install an external elevator on their old apartment building. Unexpectedly, his filial gesture sparked suspicion and opposition from the neighbors. Facing their accusations, he remained calm and stood his ground, presenting complete legal documentation and using the law to clarify ownership and establish right from wrong. Deeply moved by his determination, the community committee staff member who had previously brushed off the matter to avoid trouble sincerely apologized and began going above and beyond, visiting every household, applying for subsidies, and supervising the entire project. Eventually, all six buildings in the residential complex were equipped with elevators, restoring the freedom to go downstairs for dozens of elderly residents with mobility difficulties. The arguments of the past gave way to friendly greetings whenever neighbors crossed paths.
