Wang Haitao, the director of a leather factory, learns the tanning techniques and then ruthlessly discards the craftsman who helped him succeed, Lin Shouye, dismissing him for just 800 yuan despite Lin having invested his expertise in the business. With his father seriously ill and his uncle demanding repayment of a debt, Lin promises to pay it off within ten days. Seeing the weaknesses of his former employer, Lin joins forces with Boss Chen and turns an abandoned brick and tile factory into a functioning leather factory in just seven days.
